Family Wedding

We spent the weekend in the beautiful state of Colorado! It's the first time I had ever been there so I was super excited. The mountains were so beautiful and we had a great time visiting with my family and William's family. William's brother, Michael, got married to a wonderful girl and we couldn't be more happy for them. The wedding was beautiful!

This is William, Maggie, and me with the bride and groom!

This is the beautiful bride and handsome groom.

Their story is quite unique and cute. They met at the dog park. Liza asked Michael what he did for a living and he replied, "I kill things." And so Liza left. Michael chased after her and said, "No, no, I am a bug exterminator." She invited him to church where he rededicated his life and now they are living happily ever after!

We also had a wonderful time with my Aunt Rhoda and my cousins John and Bethany and their kids. Maggie got to meet her cousins Ian and Shane and just loved them! It was so nice to see where they lived and spend time with them. Here are a couple pictures of Maggie with her cousins:

Happy St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We enjoyed a wonderful day at church and then found out that my brother-in-law proposed to his fiance. Looks like we will be making a trip to Colorado for a wedding sometime soon. Maggie got to wear her St. Patrick's Day outfit that I made for her. She looked so cute I could just pinch her...even though she was wearing green. :)

I had a onsie left over from a baby shower and I just added the shamrock pattern and stitched it onto the onsie. I was then in the process of making a separate green tutu, but thought it would look better if I just stitched the tulle to the onsie. I then used left over fabric from the shamrock and tulle to make the matching bow.

Finally HAPPY!

Gotta love this face! And believe it or not, she hasn't always looked this happy. She cried for like...oh, 5 months. And I was telling my boss at Sylvan about how fussy she was and she told me that she had colic and her mom said one day she just stopped crying out of the blue. And wouldn't you know...three days later, Maggie stopped crying.

Oh glorious day!

She smiles more, she laughs, she is all together pleasant to be around. And I am one HAPPY momma!!  No seriously...I am much happier now.

Being a mommy definitely has it's challenges- and I am only 8 months into it. But I am looking forward to all the joys, challenges, and pretty much everything that comes with being a mommy. (Of course we are praying for more joys than challenges- ha).

Mountain Life

We had a wonderful time in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with my mother-in-law and William's grandpa. Maggie got to spend a lot of time with her Memaw and she loved all the attention! It snowed one day and then was 50 and beautiful the next day. The weather is as crazy there as it is here in Virginia.

I started sewing some burp cloths on the trip- my first ones, and I didn't do a very good job. But always bringing the craft stuff along!
